The "church" needs to go away.
The "church" is based on common knowledge available a few thousand years ago.
Since that time, there has arisen a body of "common knowledge" referred to as "technology".
If you are a christian/evangelical/fundamentalist, I have a few questions for
you.
Would you have dental work done by someone using two-thousand-year-old technology?
Would you want your next child delivered by people employing two-thousand-year-old "common knowledge"?
If you answered "no" to either of those questions, then why (if you do) do you think it's important for political leaders to adhere to two-thousand-year-old "common knowledge" religions?
I mean, if we must have religion, why not start out anew in view of all the amazing things we've learned about the world in the last 2000 years? Why not start over with today's knowledge?
Let's gin up a new religion based on what we know about the earth, science and the universe now instead of the information (common knoweledge) from a few millenia ago.
Every now and then when your life gets complicated and the weasels start closing in, the only cure is to load up on heinous chemicals and then drive like a bastard from Hollywood to Las Vegas ... with the music at top volume and at least a pint of ether.

No blog for me at the current time.
