Abandoned lots..check, grafitti - check, liquor - check.

I lurve my ghetto.

There used to be a Mr. Lucky's in Denver as well when I was going to college. They advertised a lot on the heavy metal radio station.

Lmao.

Thank you.

My ghetto by Rancho is very similar to the Phoenix Grand avenue ghetto.

Maybe it was Phoenix instead of Denver I heard the ads on the radio?

I've spent quite a bit of time in both. I was born in one and went to college in the other.

Why is Mr. da Vegas in Phoenix?

I travel to Tucson occasionally. I took this shot back in June. I had seen the sign before and wanted to get a picture.

It might have been a fun place in its time, but the sign is creepy no matter what.

I have been there many times in my youth. It was a favorite hang out for Rob Halford from Judas Priest. He hit on my date once....very funny...it used to be the best rock and roll bar in Phoenix back in its hey day.....very sad.

Every now and then when your life gets complicated and the weasels start closing in, the only cure is to load up on heinous chemicals and then drive like a bastard from Hollywood to Las Vegas ... with the music at top volume and at least a pint of ether.

-Hunter S. Thompson

Dedicated to the other side of Las Vegas, namely; the sprawling, mad, incoherent underpinnings of the world's favorite destination.

That, and the occasional ranting about nothing in particular.
