Apropos of Nothing

I just thought this was a great pic. I took this in August of '07 at about 6AM.

What prompted me to pull an oddball shot out of the stack to post was Vegas Rex' look back on five years blogging Vegas.

I've been shooting pics in Vegas for over four years - although this blog first went up in February of '07, I'd been taking shots since I moved here in February '05 - and a lot of them have made their way onto the site.

Rex works 100x harder on his sites than I do, and is 100x more prolific, yet a feeling of simpatico led me to reach back into the photo-throat and regurgitate an old shot.

My best to ya, Rex!

Craptacular!

After a record running amazing furstage string I lose out to a part timer furstager!

I liked Sluts-R-Fun. One night when I was stayig at Circus Circus I found their last remaining full pay dueces wild machine and hit it for four dueces twice and one royal in a three hour gambling session.

They even gave my a Sluts-R-Fun baseball cap for hitting the royal. It's on the shelf in the closet.

That and 99 cent hot dogs I could watch the Lady I was with eat! Plus that miniature shrimp cocktail!

Good times.

Scarlett? The parts of Vegas Lavi shows are readily available to see, it just requires lowering your standards.

Las Vegas weekly, current edition, page 26, shows the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health as well as other buildings at the intersection.

Lavi gets the scoop once again.

Every now and then when your life gets complicated and the weasels start closing in, the only cure is to load up on heinous chemicals and then drive like a bastard from Hollywood to Las Vegas ... with the music at top volume and at least a pint of ether.

-Hunter S. Thompson

Dedicated to the other side of Las Vegas, namely; the sprawling, mad, incoherent underpinnings of the world's favorite destination.

That, and the occasional ranting about nothing in particular.
