Framework

Back in March of 2006, the frame on my trusty 1985 StumpJumper broke.

Because there is no one in Las Vegas who does bicycle welding (there are welders, bicycle shops and motorcycle shops, but no one who specifically builds or repairs bicycle frames) and because this is an older frame (one that was not slapped together by a machine with gigantic globs of flux) with a modicum of sentimental value, it required a great deal of procrastination on my part before I finally got around to finding a repair shop and mailing it out.

I got it back yesterday from Dave Bohm's Bohemian Bicycles in Tucson.

Needless to say, I'm thrilled and cannot wait to re-assemble it!

Furst to ask what you have been riding while it was 'in the shop'?

So to speak.

Jeebus, Scum -- how can you possibly forget the vaunted Casino Cruiser with the Mighty Nexus hub?

Lavi regaled us, and the rest of the blog-o-verse, with the story for endless days.

When the StumpSmasher is finally reassembled we can expect him to be gone for a while...

It is more like deteriorating memory of the functional alcoholic is the result of brain damage or dissociation.... not a brain fart.

Hopefully Troy will return to read the above post in leui of the 'feral fan' section of the blog manual.

"It is more like deteriorating memory of the functional alcoholic is the result of brain damage or dissociation"

That is EXACTLY what it says in the online Websters for brain fart!

Every now and then when your life gets complicated and the weasels start closing in, the only cure is to load up on heinous chemicals and then drive like a bastard from Hollywood to Las Vegas ... with the music at top volume and at least a pint of ether.

Dedicated to the other side of Las Vegas, namely; the sprawling, mad, incoherent underpinnings of the world's favorite destination.

That, and the occasional ranting about nothing in particular.
