Trust Jesus, but Obey the Police

These people were driving down the Strip Friday evening, using the contraption on the top of their mini-van to exhort the crowds to abandon their drinking, gambling, adulterous ways - right in the middle of their friggin' vacations no less - and follow JayZus!

Unfortunately, the blue lights accompanying the loudspeakers were apparently too much competition for Metro. The followers of Babby were forced to remove the device and put it in the back of the van before they could proceed.

Faith-Based Interrogation

In light of America's inexorable drift away from knowledge and science towards mysticism and religion along with a general confusion amongst the government and public as to what constitutes torture, La Vida Vegas International is proud to present Magic Dick's Periodic Table of Torture Elements.

Combining the best of both worlds - scientific taxonomy and good old-fashioned alchemy, this table lays out the tortures most in line with centuries-old, faith-based initiatives.

Atheists Dont Suicide Bomb

On the same day that the Pope signs a decree blasting atheism, true believers scream for the death of a school teacher for "insulting" a god.   This would almost be ironic if it weren't so pathetic.

I hate religion more every day.

Enjoy some Jesus and Mo while you can. Before it's classified as a Hate Crime

Dancing with the Star(Fish)

My friend Dave, for some reason, posited that the indian girl who had her extra limbs removed somehow missed out on two fantastic opportunities.   The first, that she would be honored as the goddess Durga.   The second opportunity - I guess - was that she could appear on a television show titled "Dancing with the Starfish".   Why this would work, I honestly don't know, because starfish have five uh, appendages and if you count the top one as a "head" then, they have two arms and legs just like humans.

However, not being one to question Dave's manic strokes of genius, I whipped up this entirely rude, non-pc illustration.

Make of it what you will.

Five Dollars

I believe in God.

That's fine. You can believe in as many mythical beings as you like.

No. God is real.

Prove it. I have a five-dollar bill in my pocket. I can prove it, by pulling it out and showing it to you, see?

God is real, just read your bible.

I can write a book that says I have a five-dollar bill in my pocket - that proves nothing unless I can produce the bill.

Millions of people believe in God.

Some people may believe I have a five-dollar bill in my pocket. Unless I can whip it out, they're all chumps.

God changes people's lives every day.

My five-dollar bill changes people's lives every day. Prove me wrong.

Every now and then when your life gets complicated and the weasels start closing in, the only cure is to load up on heinous chemicals and then drive like a bastard from Hollywood to Las Vegas ... with the music at top volume and at least a pint of ether.

-Hunter S. Thompson

Dedicated to the other side of Las Vegas, namely; the sprawling, mad, incoherent underpinnings of the world's favorite destination.

That, and the occasional ranting about nothing in particular.
